Every ingredient in our fresh cosmetic range is 100% natural and, wherever possible, food-grade — meaning it meets the same quality standard as the food you eat. We prioritise organic, Fair Trade, cold-pressed, extra-virgin, unbleached, and ethically produced ingredients from small family farms. Over 60% of our ingredients are sourced from Nordic countries, including pristine-quality spring water from one of Lapland's cleanest natural springs. We never add fragrances; all scents come naturally from the ingredients themselves.

Because our fresh skin care products contain no preservatives, they have intentional use-by dates — a mark of quality, not a limitation. As a guide: Skin Butter, Balm, Glow, Velvet, Silk, and Oat Meal Soap are best used within 6 months of production. Skin Cream, Skin Mist, and all Skin Masks should be used within 2 months. Always check the use-by date printed on your product and do not use after that date.

Storage is straightforward. Skin Cream and Skin Mist should be kept refrigerated. All other fresh cosmetic products — including balms, butters, oil serums, masks, and Oat Meal Soap — can be stored at room temperature. Keeping products away from direct sunlight and heat will help maintain their freshness and potency.

No — and that is a deliberate choice. Existing certifications such as COSMOS (the shared standard behind BDIH, Cosmebio, Ecocert, ICEA, and Soil Association) are meaningful, but they still permit certain approved preservatives. Niki Newd products go further: we are proudly 100% natural, always preservative-free and alcohol-free, with no exceptions. We choose to stand in a category of our own rather than compromise our standards to fit any existing label.

Several products in our fresh skin care range are 100% vegan: Skin Velvet oil serum, Skin Silk oil serum, Nurturing oils, Oat Meal Soap, and all Skin Masks. The only animal-derived ingredients used across the full range are lactose (in Skin Mist) and unbleached beeswax sourced from a local beekeeper. We are always transparent about this — every ingredient is listed in full.

Never. Animal testing is prohibited in the EU and is absolutely against the values of our fresh skincare brand. All Niki Newd fresh cosmetic products are tested exclusively on human volunteers — including our own team — before reaching you.
